The MEN project aims to increase workers’ mobility in the cross-border area, through the creation of services of joint guidance and accompanying to work, to promote qualification and employment.

The project wants to create a "cross-border" area of collaboration between public institutions, Sicilian and Maltese employment centres, schools, higher education institutions, agencies and associations and private entities of the labour market, for the exchange of work mobility in the two Islands. The areas mainly interested are environmental protection, sustainable tourism, blue economy and quality of life and health of citizens.

MEN contributes to increase the sense of social cohesion and promote professional mobility in a wide, various and really close context.

 

Expected results:
Activation of 100 voucher of work mobility, 60 of which Sicilians and 40 of which Maltese.

The overall objective of the project is to create at least one cooperation network that will allow to permanently experimenting some joint paths for the placement of young people, graduates and workers of the two Islands through work placement internships and services to facilitate the meeting between work supply and demand.

 

The project activities will carry out:

- 1 cross-border activated network, which supports the match between labour supply and demand
- 50 small and medium-sized enterprises that activate internships in the strategic sectors of the project
- 1 protocol with Sicilian and Maltese employment centres and other private intermediary entities at work for mobility and placement
