The Managing Authority would to share with all stakeholders the final version of the Interreg VI-A Italia Malta programme, before it is submitted to the European Commission for approval.
In this regard, a public consultation on the programming document is launched, aimed at consolidating its latest version.
This public consultation is carried out in accordance with Article 8 of the Common Provisions Regulation (EU Reg. 2021/1060) and Article 8 of the European Code of Conduct on Partnership in the Framework of the European Structural and Investment Funds (EU Reg. 240/2014).
Programme contents were recently shared and approved in the last written procedure of February 2022 of the Task Force incharged for the drafting of the programme.
The Interreg VI-A Italia Malta programme will receive a contribution from the European Union of more than 46 million euros and will support interventions in the field of cooperation in favour of innovation and competitiveness, the environment, sustainable tourism, as well as the governance of the administrations involved.
Particular attention is paid to the specific needs of cross-border territories through a strong involvement of civil society, an active participation of young people and women, also through the instrument of small projects, and the inclusion of capitalization projects.
