European Maritime Day (EMD) is the annual two-day event where the European maritime community meets to network, discuss and initiate joint action on maritime affairs and the sustainable blue economy.
The EMD conference is the place where “ocean leaders” meet. It provides an engaging and comprehensive interactive experience to catch up on the progress of work on a wide range of blue economy and marine environment issues and discuss ways to move forward.
It features a large number of excellent speakers, multiple interactive sessions and project presentation sessions.
EMD is aimed at professionals from companies, governments, public institutions, NGOs and universities.
European Maritime Day 2021 takes place virtually from Den Helder, the Netherlands, on 20 and 21 May. The event is co-organized by the Municipality of Den Helder, the Province of North Holland and the Ministry of Infrastructure and Water Management.
