Expenditure Reporting and Control Manual – May 2026 Update

By DDG No. 372 of 27 May 2026, the updated version of the “Expenditure Reporting and Control Manual of the INTERREG VI-A Italy–Malta Programme” and its annexes was approved in order to incorporate a number of operational and procedural amendments aimed at improving the management and control of projects funded under the Programme.
The main updates introduced include:
- the adoption of the reporting tools available in the JEMS system for expenditure reporting activities and the submission of Reimbursement Claims;
- the introduction of a new section concerning the Register of Purchased Assets and Equipment and the traceability of inventory numbers;
- the update of the risk analysis methodology used for management verifications;
- the revision of the provisions relating to information, communication and visibility requirements;
- the update of the Expenditure Validation Certificate;
- the introduction of new annexes, including the checklist for verifying the absence of conflicts of interest, the template declaration by the legal representative, and the register of purchased assets and equipment.
The updated Manual provides operational guidance and practical tools to support beneficiaries in the reporting and control of projects funded under the Programme.
