The GO4CIRCULAR project fosters the transition to a circular economy in Sicilian and Maltese SMEs in the agri-food and textile sectors, addressing environmental challenges linked to linear production models. It aims to establish a strategic and operational framework supporting the adoption of circular practices throughout the value chain, with a cross-border network facilitating the exchange of knowledge and best practices. The project includes training and capacity-building on sustainable management, waste reduction, and new business models, as well as the development of innovative strategies. Pilot tests will assess the impact of implemented solutions and guide strategy optimization.
- Creation of a strategic framework for the circular economy in the agri-food and textile sectors, supported by a network of CE facilitators.
- Strengthening the skills of 20 SMEs through training and assistance activities.
- Establishment of a circular economy facilitators network in the cross-border area.
- Implementation, evaluation and adaptation of 20 pilot actions for SMEs: certifications, supply chain definition, process and product adjustments.
- Design, dissemination and development of sustainable strategies for SMEs, focused on key areas for the circular transition.
- Internal capacities of SMEs strengthened
