The CHORAL – Cultural Heritage fOR AlL project aims to improve both physical and digital accessibility to cultural sites in Palermo and Malta, with a focus on sustainability, ecology, and technology. Through the development of a joint strategy and the installation of eco-friendly orientation totems, the project seeks to make visits to cultural sites easier and more inclusive. At the same time, digital tools will be tested in two pilot sites to enable remote access to less accessible locations. CHORAL promotes knowledge exchange between the two territories, establishes a shared governance model, and enhances the cultural and tourism offering by involving public and private stakeholders from the cross-border area. The project supports the EU’s environmental and digital goals, ensuring inclusive and long-term access to cultural heritage.
