🗣️ Interview:
I am Salvatore Sorce.
I am an Associate Professor of Information Processing Systems in the Department of Engineering and Architecture at “KORE” University of Enna.
I am also Coordinator of the Computer Engineering Degree Program and Pro-Rector of ICT and Technology Transfer.
Yes, in research I mainly deal with human-machine interfaces and new interaction paradigms, intelligent and adaptive interfaces.
The reference context is that of applications, technologies in the medical field, in particular virtual reality and artificial intelligence where there are already several studies and applications that have demonstrated the effectiveness separate from the two approaches.
The VERA Project stands out for bringing together artificial intelligence and virtual reality to ensure that the virtual environments in which we plan to have the analysis and therapy to subjects can be adapted based on the results that come out of artificial intelligence techniques.
What I expect is to have a comprehensive platform validated within the specific objectives of the project; but above all that it can be a starting point for applications in other specific contexts always in the field of neurodegenerative disease rehabilitation.
