The Coordinated Call is a joint initiative developed within the framework of the Mediterranean Multi-Programme Mechanism (MMM). It involves ten Interreg Programmes in the Mediterranean area and aims to strengthen the capitalisation of project results and promote their transfer, adaptation and dissemination in new territorial contexts. While sharing a common methodological framework and coordinated participation principles, each participating Programme publishes its own call, with specific rules, timetable and documentation, addressed to beneficiaries from its respective cooperation area.

To submit a proposal, projects must identify an output developed under another Programme participating in the MMM and demonstrate how it will be reused, adapted or scaled up in the new territorial context, thereby contributing to the valorisation of Interreg cooperation results.

On 16 June 2026, a joint presentation event for the Mediterranean Multi-Programme Mechanism Coordinated Call was held. The event outlined how the mechanism works, its common methodology and the opportunities offered by the participating Programmes.

Below is the indicative timeline of the calls that will be progressively published by the Programmes participating in the Mediterranean Multi-Programme Mechanism.

Coordinated Call

The “4th Call for Proposals” of the Interreg Italy–Croatia Programme is the first call published within the framework of the Mediterranean Multi-Programme Mechanism Coordinated Call and opened on 16 June 2026. The call funds capitalisation projects focused on the reuse, adaptation and valorisation of outputs developed by other Programmes participating in the MMM, with particular emphasis on sustainable tourism.

Italian beneficiaries from the Interreg Italy–Slovenia Programme cooperation area may participate as project partners. Since Slovenia is not part of the Interreg Italy–Croatia Programme cooperation area, Slovenian beneficiaries may participate as associated partners, in accordance with the rules of the call.

The call will remain open until 15 September 2026 and has an ERDF budget of approximately €5.86 million.

Through this call, projects will be expected to valorise existing outputs by supporting their transfer, adaptation and dissemination within the Euro-MED Programme cooperation area, thereby contributing to a broader impact across the Mediterranean.

The call is expected to open on 1 September 2026 and close on 30 September 2026. It has an ERDF budget of approximately €8 million.
